Thank you for your interest in our venue.  Big Blue is a rustic wedding venue located in Red Creek/Fair Haven, New York.  Unlike most wedding venue ours is full of history.  Enjoy residing where the Mixer family once called Black Creek Farm their home.  Rose Mixer’s first night in the house was her honeymoon night.

The property has everything you need for an unforgettable wedding weekend.  Includes the country colonial farmhouse, the perennial gardens, a gazebo with trickling stream with pond, the barn venue, the hair studio and a collection of ceremony sites to choose from.  The house can sleep eight guests comfortably which allows a small bridal party to stay on site.  The house does have a full hair studio with its own private entrance.  Your hairdresser and make-up artist will love this room.

The 119-year-old barn was lifted in 1900 and still stands completely square to this day. The barn venue has 2100 square feet of main space with a soaring 35 feet up wards.  The main space which includes a stage with dance area, the granary bar area and a prep area for caterers.

The loft area overlooking the main space is an additional 690 square feet of balcony space.  The perfect birds eye view of the lower level.  The interior of the barn is outfitted with string light, garland of flowers and lace creating a charming atmosphere.

The barn venue is a large space which can accommodate larger weddings, but we are currently only hosting events for 80 guest or less.

The main house is of estate status with master staircase, high ceiling, crown molding with various porches. The entire property is picture perfect.  We think we have a beautiful location for a private country wedding experience.

Our weekend wedding package has many inclusions for a wedding experience that is a weekend long.

We limit our property to one event per weekend allowing us to create a private and intimate environment.  Our brides-to-be are encourage to check in on Friday afternoon to prepare, delegate and relax before their rehearsal that evening.  Wake up in the morning to hot and hearty breakfast before you prepare for hair and makeup in our huge open studio.  Our hair studio is found on the lower level of the house, which is the perfect spot to prepare with your bridal party.  Enjoy taking picture inside our country colonial farmhouse or in the perennial gardens next to the gazebo.  Celebrate the evening away.  One more hot breakfast before you leave. There is no rush or scheduled check out time upon exiting.

The barn venue has ample space which can accommodate larger weddings, but we are currently outfitted and only hosting weddings for 80 guest or less.

$4,600./barn venue + $1,520./b&b house = $6,120.00

• Gazebo nestled in our perennial gardens with a trickling stream available for pictures or a small ceremony

• Different options available for larger ceremony’s on-site

• Noon Check-in on Friday with a afternoon check-out on Sunday

• B&B accommodations sleeps a total of eight adult guests in four rooms

• We do allow and love outside caterers, vendors and entertainment with proof of insurance
